MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will experience cloudy skies and rains on Saturday due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In Pagasa’s 5 a.m. weather forecast, weather specialist Grace Castañeda said hot weather will also generally prevail in the country.
Castañeda also advised of possible isolated rain showers, lightnings and thunders in most parts of Luzon brought by the easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
(Luzon, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.)
(Hot weather will also prevail, especially at noon.)
She also warned of possible flash floods and landslides brought by scattered rains in parts of Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
Meanwhile, the whole portion of Visayas, Palawan and the rest of Mindanao will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
(They will continue to experience hot weather at noon but chances of isolated rains, thunders and lightnings are high in the afternoon and evening, especially for the rest of Mindanao.)
“Dulot po ito ng easterlies,” she pointed out.
(This is due to the easterlies.)
Meanwhile, no gale warning is raised in any seaboards of the country.
No low pressure area or tropical cyclone is also monitored inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
